Description

Matt Riot had sent me some seeds and I recently took them for a whirl. It was his Blubba Kush (deets below) line. Out of 10 seeds I got 8 plants, and 5 were females. I kept 2 gooey females as breeders. I tested the crap out of these females stressing them into flowering a few times. They seemed all fine and dandy without any weaker sensitivity tendencies, or to mutate; sexually or otherwise.

I chose the (KOS) Blue Matter as my paternal P1 here for several reasons. First, because I had a recessive trait arise in my Blue Matter line that was becoming a dominant trait, and I did not like it. It was essentially a weakness to certain pH ranges. So, since this was a sexual trait and no males showed it ever, I used a kickass Blue Matter male with lots O purple expressions.

I am discontinuing the Blue Matter line/variety at here at KOS. I am using that line to blend with the Blubba Kush line to basically make a “new” Blue Matter based hybrid line. Last but not least, they both share a real fruity type terpene profile that should be enhanced in the hybrid. And, let’s not forget one of my most important resin expressions when I select plants—hightype baybee—yup. This is a true “drooling on your shoes” type of cannabis resin here, heh heh. And while you may have fantastic ideas under her influence, you are likely to forget them before you can record them LoL! Fun as hell, but highly dysfunctional, in my experience.

Lineage

Male Breeder(s) Deets: 1 superior male of Blue Matter was the paternal P1 in this cross. I chose 1 very purple and taller male that was very hearty with decent sized floral formations, and had excellent resin potential properties regarding both terpenes and raw resin production. Blue Matter is a hybrid of two KOS lines, Blue Rhino 1947 x Dark Matter.

Female Breeder(s) Deets: 2 Blubba Kush females were the maternal P1s in this cross. These are from Riot Seeds and this hybrid’s P1s are Bubba Kush (m) x Blue Bonnet (f). These 2 females were extra gooey with resin. They were pretty stinky as well with dank Kushy/resin/fuel along with background notes of fruitiness.

La Smoking Insights

I made hashish from the seeded up buds of the Blubba Kush maternal breeders, and, not surprisingly it was a very debilitating ride—LoL—and while this isn’t really my go-to type of cannabis to smoke most often, it is some totally stupefying fun … I called this hybrid Phyzz because the Blubba Kush females had that facet of the resin properties that gives you that “buzzing” in your head. It is reminiscent of Rooi Bart and some Columbian varieties. Sort of like your brain is fizzing (Phyzzing) in the background.

The legs (time of baked-ness) are only a couple of hours, with a slightly sleepy come-down that also have some decent munchies associated. Prepare for the demon red eye as well—grab the Visine!

Growing Instructions

These plants should almost all be bulletproof from what I can tell through my testing. I wouldn’t recommend the Phyzz be grown outdoors where any kind of humidity can be a problem. Like along the coast without a heated/dehumidification equipped greenhouse, or a very open and windy area.

Please do not sprout these on a 24/0 photoperiod and KOS recommends 16/8 for sprouting and until 30 days old. Then switch to 18/6. Alternately…

Using a flowering photoperiod of 12/12 on sprouts for their first 10 days above ground, then switching them to an 18/6 photoperiod will allow you to easily sex them at 30 days of age—give or take 3 days

Always allow plants to get at least 55 days old from sprouting, before starting to flower for maximum resin production. Plants grown from seed work much better outdoors in the ground than clones do. Alternately, clones work much better in containers than plants from seeds do. Sprout seeds in ambient temps of 75 – 85 deg. F. Obviously KOS always recommends organically growing our gear in living soil for the full appreciation of smells and flavors, among many other reasons—cheers!
