The (paternal P1) father is two individual male Deep Chunks. Deep Chunk is a long IBL Hashplant indica from Afghanistan introduced and inbred by Tom Hill. Since getting Deep Chunk about a decade ago I have inbred her 3 or 4 times, leaning towards the larger sized and larger yielding purple phenotypes with the greatest resin production. I originally got these DC seeds from my old buddy “Moonshine Man” (Jay) who got them directly from Tom Hill.
The (maternal P1) female, KOS’s own Super Durban Haze, a cross between 2 IBL lines, Durban Poison and Super Silver Haze. This hybrid possesses almost sickeningly sweet aromas and flavors and is absolutely covered with resin. A deadly potent combo with long ass legs. Yields are average to good and she is very easy to trim due to excellent calyx to leaf ratios.
The maternal P1 did show some of the characteristic Durban Poison expressions with pinkish pistils, and that awesome flowering trait that causes them to begin (and end) flowering early outdoors in the northern hemisphere. With the paternal P1 (Deep Chunk) the purple expressions should come together well with the pink Durban traits and some phenotypes should be stunning looking.
THE RUNDOWN
The Pink Candy hybrid 3-way is sure to be tons of fun and deadly potent. Exotic coloration should abound here, with a lot of purple and pink in the mix. The Deep Chunk (DC) fathers were both large and purple phenos, and due to the influences of the Durban Poison (DP) the legs will be long. The Pink Candy will land pretty dominantly on the indica side of things, and will no doubt be great for medical users; a real intense hammer-time and operating heavy machinery and doing math are not recommended.
SPECIAL GROWING INSTRUCTIONS:
Please do not sprout these on a 24/0 photoperiod and KOS recommends a photoperiod of 16/8 for sprouting and until 30 days old Never use a 24/0 photoperiod. Always allow plants (or clones of plants; and clones are the same age that the seed plant would be no matter how many clones of clones) to get at least 60 days old from sprouting, before starting to flower for maximum resin production. KOS always recommends organically growing our gear for the full appreciation of smells and flavors.
Possibility the father’s pH preferences will play a part in this hybrid, so make sure you are running normal pH ranges in soil and using some sort of “groundwater” with some PPM value containing some Ca and Mg. Otherwise you will have a very large yielding super pretty plants that will blow your mind and are easy to grow.
