Description

This one can be a bit intense, especially the medium/larger yielding plants/phenotypes. I chose 4 of my 5 breeder females for final release of the seeds. The 5th female was all good, she just didn’t have that over-the-top resin production I was looking for. You will find two general phenos in these F2s as described below, but the variants will be plenty. Like a treasure hunt in a cave full of treasures, heh heh.

Of the four finalists, 3 of them were larger plants with a lot of vigor that had large yields of big and smelly (dank/fuel/lemon) buds. The other female selected breeder was more like, good to average yields, however, these females had a very distinctive (pungent) fruity notes with citrus terpene expression (Fruit Loops). Delicious! The buds were very dense and dripping with resin, even for seeded up plants. The larger yielding phenotypes didn’t have super dense flowers, but they were dense. This makes me think these larger phenotypes may do well outdoors as well.

The F1 Dark Dragon male I used in this inbreeding was a whorled and super vigorous dude with very high resin potential. He was all lemon/lime terpenes. He was a thug, heh heh.

These F2s are a clone hunter’s or breeder hunter’s heavenly playground, and you are sure to find some seriously outstanding recombinations in these F2s. The two general phenotypes should be easily enough spotted. The uber dank/lemony very large yielding phenotypes outpace the “fruit punch” phenotypes by like 20% and are obviously larger faster growing plants. The large ones can get LARGE so be thee aware. When I say fast growers and vigorous, I’m not kidding around.

P1 Lineage

Male P1 Breeder(s) Deets: 1 male Dark Matter was used in this cross. a hybrid of Rusty Haze x Cherry Thunderfuck. This variety is very hearty with quite unique flavors and smells with large yields. The high-type is one that can cause some paranoia, but to me the Dark Matter is full of “Dark Energy” with zero burnout and long legs and just a super fun ride.

Female P1 Breeder(s) Deets: 1 female Boggle Dragon was used in this cross. The Boggle Dragon is BOG’s Bogglegum male crossed to my Blue Dragon selected female, BOG’s hybrid was an old NL #5 crossed to a Bubblegum and the Blue Dragon is a Blue Rhino male crossed to a landrace Tibetan cultivar, my Tibetan Gold. I selected the Boggle Dragon female specifically to target the most awesome Tibetan high-type and it does run about 40% of females in the Boggle Dragon.

La Smoking Insights

This is an extremely complex high-type to be sure in one of the f1 breeder phenotypes. I made hash-balls from each phenotype and have been sampling them for the last week or 10 days. No doubt about it, the medium and larger—more sativa looking—phenotypes are very intense, with very long legs. These phenotypes I’ll call Dark Matter dominants. Care should be taken if you are the paranoid type when smoking powerful sativas, because these phenos have that edgy intensity; a kind of dark energy.

The other pheno is much less sativa looking, smaller stature, with more round-top type buds. These have the “Fruit Loops” terpenes in the resin profile, along with the signature Lemon/Lime terpenes. This high-type from this pheno is much more relaxing. Not sleepy at all, but more dreamy, less intense overall but just as potent. More of an indica influence here from the Boggle Gum/Blue Dragon side of the genes in the smaller phenotypes.

The Dark Matter doms are super lemon/lime and hash/fuel/dank, straight up and pungent as hell. The smaller phenos have the same lemon/lime expressions but with strong notes of fruity candy, not unlike Fruit Loops—in fact, spot on. The Dark Matter dom phenos are what I would call “Adventure Weeds” and were fully awesome to adventure on, inspiring. The smaller phenos were super “Happy Weeds” not particularly full of energy but not sleepy either. Very dreamy, a wonderful ride to be sure.

Growing Instructions

With any F2’s you’re going to have individual expression ranges, but overall, these are basically bulletproof. They root cuttings easily, and are very vigorous. The larger Dark Matter dom phenos will likely need topping per their growth rates. The smaller phenotypes, the more indica influenced ones do better untopped and they can run fine together that way as well. I ran both of the general phenos larger and smaller in the same tent fine. I just topped the larger ones and didn’t top the smaller ones.

Please do not sprout these on a 24/0 photoperiod and KOS recommends 16/8 for sprouting and until 30 days old. Then switch to 18/6. Alternately…

Using a flowering photoperiod of 12/12 on sprouts for their first 10 days above ground, then switching them to an 16/8 photoperiod will allow you to easily sex them at 30 days of age—give or take 3 days

Always allow plants to get at least 55 days old from sprouting, before starting to flower for maximum resin production. Plants grown from seed work much better outdoors in the ground than clones do. Alternately, clones work much better in containers than plants from seeds do. Sprout seeds in ambient temps of 75 – 85 deg. F. Obviously KOS always recommends organically growing our gear in living soil for the full appreciation of smells and flavors, among many other reasons—cheers
