A fantastic lineup of genetics here with one hell of a punch! I have had this hybrid since I made it like 15 years ago. My fondest memories of her are two-fold. The smells and flavors are off the chain exotic, real powerful blonde hashish with berry notes becoming dominant upon the exhale. Smooth and elegant, a real pleasure to partake of.
Another fond memory is the high-type. Seriously happy-go-lucky with the ol’ big goofy grin. You can evolve into uncontrolled laughter way too easily. Super potent too. I recall many times sparking a doobie, then suddenly “coming back into reality” about 20 minutes after starting the doobie; with half the doobie burnt out between my fingers. Wondering … What the hell had I been doing for the last 20 minutes? LoL 😆
Then she goes into cruise control, for another couple of hours real dreamy with that slight sensation of being underwater, to me. Serious weeds have this resin profile expression; in my experience.
Phenos lean a little with regards to morphology, but I only use the medium and larger phenotypes to breed with, no shorties. They also lean regarding high-type, and some phenos will be more dysfunctional than others. The Peak 19 and Blueberry seem to be the dominate two in the mix. I used 2 males and 5 females in this run, with two females being the Blueberry dominant, two being Peak 19 dominant, and the fifth female being a blend. The two males were likewise, one of each the Blueberry dominant, and the Peak 19 dominant phenotypes.
Male Breeder(s) Deets: 2 killer males were used in this breeding run. I selected a Blueberry and a Peak 19 dominant BR1947 males, both good yielding and uber stinky. The Blueberry dominant male was more stacked and more of a medium sized plant, while the Peak 19 dominant was tall, and an especially good yielder.
Female Breeder(s) Deets: 5 selected and superior females were used in this breeding run. 2 Blueberry dominants, 2 Peak 19 dominants, with an additional blended female. The two Blueberry phenotypes were rife with purpling and uber-Blueberry smelling. Severe resin production as well. The Peak 19 dominant females were (my favorite phenos FYI 😊)
I made the BR1947 originally by crossing two (P1s) varieties from long ago. A Blue Rhino (Blueberry/White Rhino) male from Irish Rose Seeds I selected back around 2000, seeds that I got from my old buddy “Moonshine Man” (Jay). This is pre-2000 real-deal Blueberry in this Blue Rhino and she was a standout ass kicker that just dripped with resin. “Deathblow Weeds”, as I call them, heh heh.
The Female P1 I used in the original BR1947 cross I bought from CBay around 2001, it was called “Peak 19 x AK47” …which I tweaked the name a bit… to “1947,” and had one selected phenotype female I bred with, I called her “The Reptile,” as she expressed real Thai looking SEA type leaf morphologies, like Gatorbacks (tires) came to mind whenever I looked upon her. Her potency was stellar, and deep; a seriously hard and long stone. Exotic Haze like fuel, hashish, and acrid/sharp; tangy! Decent yields.
SPECIAL GROWING INSTRUCTIONS:
The BR1947 is kind of a calcium hog and needs a constant small supply to stay happy as she can be. Something like oyster shell, egg shell, or a little bone meal blended with your mulch is a good thing. She tends to genetically, not be a dark green variety, and she will always look just a little lighter green than most other plants, this is totally normal.
Please do not sprout these on a 24/0 photoperiod and KOS recommends 16/8 for sprouting and until 30 days old. Always allow plants to get at least 55 days old from sprouting, before starting to flower for maximum resin production. Sprout seeds in ambient temps of 80 – 90 deg. F. Obviously KOS always recommends organically growing our gear for the full appreciation of smells and flavors, among other reasons—cheers!
